Do I need an internet connection?
No. Every question, answer, and fact ships inside the app, so the game works exactly the same in a tunnel or on a plane.
Nothing is sent anywhere. No real person sees your round, there is no multiplayer or social feature in this app at all, and it never makes a network request of any kind.
How do I play?
Pick a decade, then pick a category. You get a round of 10 multiple-choice questions with four options each, A to D, and exactly one is right. Answer, see whether you got it, read the short fact, and move on. One point per correct answer, out of 10.
Which decades and categories are there?
Five decades: the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. Six categories: Music, Movies & TV, News & Events, Tech & Toys, Sports, and Everyday Life. There is also a mixed bag option that draws from every category in the decade you chose.
Is there a timer?
No, and there never will be. That is the whole point of the game. Nothing counts down and nothing expires, so you can leave a question open for as long as you like. Or, as the app says: "No clock. The '60s aren't going anywhere."
One of the answers is obviously a joke. Is that a bug?
No, that is on purpose. Every question has one deliberately funny wrong answer, written by hand. It is never the correct one, so picking around it costs you nothing.
How do the lifelines work?
50/50 takes away two of the wrong options and leaves you with a coin flip. You get one use per round, so it is worth saving for a question you really cannot place.
Do questions repeat?
The game holds back questions you have seen recently and only brings them round again once it has run out of fresh ones for that decade and category.
How hard is a round?
Mixed on purpose. A round is roughly 3 easy questions, 4 medium, and 3 hard, so it should not feel flat in either direction.
How is my score worked out?
One point per correct answer, out of 10. There is no time bonus, because there is no timer.
What are the streaks?
Two different things. Inside a round, correct answers in a row are called out as you go ("3 in a row!"). Separately, a daily play streak on the home screen counts the days in a row you have played.
What stats does the app keep?
For each decade and each category it keeps your best score, how many rounds you have played, and the share of questions you got right. It also tracks local achievements, such as a perfect round, playing every decade, and a 7-day streak.
Is there a leaderboard or Game Center?
No. Achievements and stats live on your device only. There is no Game Center, no leaderboard, and no account.
Can I share my result?
Yes. At the end of a round you get a result card you can share wherever you like. Sharing is your choice and it goes through the normal iOS share sheet.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. All the questions ship inside the app and nothing is ever downloaded. The app makes no network requests at all, so it works the same offline.
What devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later. There is no Mac or Vision Pro version.
What languages does it speak?
English only at launch.
Are there ads or in-app purchases?
Neither. There is nothing to buy and no advertising anywhere in the app.
I think a question or answer is wrong. What do I do?
Email us with the decade, the category, and roughly how the question was worded. Corrections are welcome and get fixed in the next update.
How do I reset my scores and streaks?
Delete and reinstall the app. Everything the game saves lives on your device, so removing the app clears your scores, streaks, achievements, and settings. There is no backup anywhere else, so this can't be undone.
Where is my data stored?
On your device only, in standard iOS app storage. The app collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. See the privacy policy for full details.
