Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

The short version: Back in My Day collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no in-app purchases, no third-party code, and the app never makes a network request. It asks for no permissions at all. Your scores, streaks, achievements, and settings are stored on your device and stay there.

Data We Collect

None. codfishworks does not collect, store, receive, or share any information about you or your device. Back in My Day has no accounts and no sign-in, runs no analytics or telemetry, and shows no ads. Its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.

Local Data Storage

Back in My Day saves a small amount of data on your device using UserDefaults, the standard iOS store for app settings:

This data never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any server run by codfishworks, and no one else can read it. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Network Access

Back in My Day makes no network requests at all. Every question, answer, and fact ships inside the app, so nothing is ever downloaded. The game works exactly the same with no internet connection.

There is no multiplayer and no social feature of any kind. Nothing you do is sent anywhere and no other person is ever involved in your round.

Third-Party Services

There are none. Back in My Day contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics libraries, no advertising code, and no crash reporting. It does not use Game Center. Everything it does is built on Apple's own system frameworks.

Permissions

Back in My Day asks for no permissions at all. It has no notifications, so it never asks to send you any. It does not ask for and cannot access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, location, health data, or files.

In-App Purchases and Ads

Back in My Day has neither. There is nothing to buy inside the app and no advertising of any kind, so no payment or advertising data is ever handled.

Children's Privacy

Back in My Day is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data at all, shows no ads, and has no purchases, no real chat, and no multiplayer, there is nothing for a child to share with us or with anyone else.

Your Rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights over personal data a company holds about you. codfishworks holds no personal data about Back in My Day users, so there is nothing for us to look up, correct, export, or delete. To remove the data on your device, delete the app.
