Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
The short version: Cubetastic is free to play and shows ads from Google AdMob. To serve those ads, AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier and similar data. A one-time Remove Ads purchase turns ads off completely. codfishworks itself still has no accounts, runs no analytics, and never receives your data - your scores and progress stay on your device.
Data We Collect
codfishworks does not collect, store, or receive any personal information about you. We run no analytics or telemetry of our own, and there is no account or login.
The one exception is advertising: to show ads, Google AdMob (and Google's User Messaging Platform) may collect data on Google's behalf, as described in Advertising below. If you buy Remove Ads, no advertising data is collected at all.
Local Data Storage
The following data is stored locally on your device, in standard iOS app storage:
- Player profile - your XP, level, and cosmetic unlocks
- Level progress - which campaign levels you've completed and your best run for each
- High scores - your endless and daily challenge bests
- Settings - audio, haptics, and accessibility preferences
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly opt into Game Center (see below). When you delete the app, all of this data is removed.
Game Center (Optional)
Cubetastic uses Apple's Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. Game Center is provided by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. If you sign in to Game Center:
- Your scores may be submitted to Game Center leaderboards
- Achievement progress is synced to your Game Center account
- Your Game Center alias is shown next to your scores on the public leaderboard
You can sign out of Game Center at any time in your device's Settings. Cubetastic itself never sees your Apple ID or any other Game Center account information beyond what Apple's frameworks expose.
Advertising
Unless you purchase Remove Ads, Cubetastic shows occasional full-screen interstitial ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve these ads, Google may collect and process data including:
- A device advertising identifier (IDFA) and a coarse, non-precise approximation of your location derived from your IP address
- Device and diagnostic information (device model, OS version, ad interactions)
Google uses this data to deliver ads, measure their performance, and limit how often you see the same ad. How Google handles it is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the AdMob partner policies.
Your choices
- App Tracking Transparency. On first launch, iOS asks whether you allow tracking. If you decline, Cubetastic does not access the advertising identifier and Google serves only non-personalized ads.
- Consent (EEA, UK & Switzerland). Where required, a Google-provided consent form appears so you can choose how your data is used for ads before any ad loads.
- Remove Ads. The one-time Remove Ads purchase disables the ad SDK entirely - no ads are requested and no advertising data is collected.
In-App Purchases
Cubetastic is free to play. It offers a single one-time in-app purchase, Remove Ads, which removes all ads and lets you jump to any level. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple's StoreKit and the App Store. Cubetastic does not see, store, or transmit your payment information.
Network Access
Cubetastic does not contact any servers operated by codfishworks. Network traffic comes from Apple's own frameworks (Game Center and StoreKit) when you use those features, and - unless you have purchased Remove Ads - from Google's servers to request and display ads.
Third-Party Services
Cubetastic includes the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK and Google's User Messaging Platform SDK to serve ads and gather ad consent. These are removed from the experience once you purchase Remove Ads. All other functionality is provided by Apple system frameworks (RealityKit, SwiftUI, UIKit, GameKit, StoreKit, AVFoundation, CoreHaptics).
Permissions
On first launch Cubetastic asks for permission to track via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; this is used only to decide whether ads can be personalized, and declining is fully supported. Cubetastic does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or precise location.
Children's Privacy
Cubetastic is not directed at children under 13, and codfishworks does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app serves third-party ads, we do not recommend it for young children. If you believe a child has used the app, you can disable advertising data collection by declining the tracking prompt or purchasing Remove Ads, and you may contact us at the address below.
