What devices does Cubetastic run on?
Cubetastic runs on iPhone and iPad (iOS 17 or later), Mac (Apple Silicon, macOS that supports iPad apps), and Apple Vision Pro. The same App Store purchase covers every supported device on the same Apple ID.
I'm not signed into Game Center. What am I missing?
Game Center is optional. Without it, Cubetastic works fully - your XP, level unlocks, cosmetics, and high scores all save locally. Sign in to participate in global leaderboards (endless, daily challenge) and earn achievements. To sign in: open the Settings app on your device, tap Game Center, and turn it on.
How do I restore my "Unlock all levels" purchase on a new device?
Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to buy the upgrade. Open Cubetastic, go to the level select or store screen, and tap Restore Purchases. The unlock will be restored at no extra cost.
The daily challenge isn't loading.
The daily challenge layout is generated locally from today's date - it does not require an internet connection to play. If your score isn't appearing on the leaderboard, that does need Game Center: check that you're signed in (Settings → Game Center) and that you have a network connection. Your daily best is also saved locally.
Why is the holiday theme not showing?
Holiday themes activate automatically based on your device's calendar date. They run during specific date ranges (e.g. Halloween from Oct 25 to Nov 1, Christmas from Dec 18 to Dec 27). If you'd like to preview a theme outside its window, you can change your device's date temporarily - but be aware that this can affect Game Center scores.
What is Wimbledon "Deuce" mode?
During the Wimbledon theme window, when only 2 bricks remain in a level, they gain extra HP and start oscillating. Destroy both within 5 seconds for a 1,000-point bonus. If the timer expires, the destroyed brick regenerates - you must win by two, just like a tennis tiebreak.
How do I reset my progress?
The fastest way to reset everything is to delete and reinstall the app - this clears local progress, XP, cosmetics, and settings. Game Center scores and achievements are owned by your Game Center account and can be reset under Settings → Game Center on your device. If you'd like a finer-grained reset option in-app, let me know.
Audio is silent. Haptics are missing on my Mac / iPad.
Make sure your device isn't in silent / mute mode and that the in-game audio toggle is on. Haptics are only available on iPhones with a Taptic Engine - iPads, Macs, and Vision Pro don't expose haptic hardware to apps, so the haptic settings have no effect there.
The game stutters or feels slow.
Cubetastic targets 60fps on supported devices. If you're seeing stutter, try the usual: close other apps, restart your device, and make sure you're on the latest iOS/iPadOS/macOS. If the issue persists, please email msafeworks@gmail.com with your device model and iOS version.
Where is my data stored?
All progress and settings live in standard iOS app storage on your device. Nothing is sent to any server operated by codfishworks. Game Center scores are stored by Apple under your Game Center account. See the privacy policy for full details.
